Watch Video of the third CTN Anniversary recorded here at WTJR. It was a special night to celebrate taped on Saturday, June 6th with a “Healing Service” in the “Upper Room” on the third floor of the WTJR building.
The evening started with a music concert with “Young Harmony”, Jonathan and Ginger Bond, from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Playing Guitar and back up vocals was Matt McFarland of the music group Crossway.

I would like to give you more information on the newest mission outreach that WTJR is collecting for. We are helping to collect shoes for the “Sole Sisters.” So clean out your shoe closets, tie the strings together or put a rubber band or tape around them and bring a bag (or bags) of shoes to the WTJR studio building located at 222 North 6th Street, Quincy, IL. If you have several bags you can call ahead to make arrangements for someone to help you unload your bags of shoes. The phone number at WTJR is 217-228-1616. Please no high heels, low pumps are acceptable. The shoes do not have to be wearable and you can bring a single shoe also. We will be collecting the shoes until November 1st, 2009.
The shoes will be sold locally and shipped to South America’s used shoe market. People who cannot afford a new shoe can barter or purchase a used shoe. The money from the recycled shoes (35 cents per pound) will be used to build new water wells in Kenya. One pair of shoes will provide water for one person for life.
WTJR encourages you to be a part of this mission outreach because after a village gets a well of fresh water, they are given the “living water” ~ JESUS. - Donette Douglas GM WTJR-TV
